Pomegranate Juice and Healing My Flu

I was feeling tired and a bit warm due to flu symptoms. I then peeled off a big pomegranate and extrated it's juice and took a nap.
I woke up much better and my lungs felt lighter as well. I think it helped reduce my inflammation.
It's amazing what a little extra rest and turning your diet around can do for you when you're feeling a little down.
When I was feeling sick my mother would give me either pomegranate or turnips (those lovely purple bulb-looking vegetable) to eat. A day or 2 later I'd feel much better.
You should let us know how you juice the pomegranate yourself since having fruit juice is big in Brazil.
